Our experienced team of midwives is always by your side, day and night. We offer warm, personalised and involved care and will tailor our services to your needs. We take into account your personal care requirements during pregnancy and child birth, since every pregnancy is unique. We provide complete obstetric care and have all ultrasound scans performed by experienced sonographers at Zorggebouw in Houten. We strive to provide high quality midwifery care at all times. Our practice is modern, involved, professional and advanced.

Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 1.00 pm and on Thursday evening from 6.30 pm to 9.00 pm to schedule an appointment and for non-urgent questions.

Gynaecologist Diakonessenhuis
Dr. Tatjana Vogelvang has been working since 2010 at Diakonessenhuis and is the in-house gynaecologist at midwifery practice De Geboortezaak in Houten. Once every two months she holds consultations together with one of our team members. Pregnant women and their partners can discuss with her and us any additional tests that might be necessary during the pregnancy, but also any personal care requirements with regard to the delivery. Besides, she is available for any short questions our midwifes might have. This way, we can respond to your questions quickly.
Gynaecologist St. Antonius Hospital
Roel de Heus is the regular gynaecologist from St. Antonius Hospital in Leidsche Rijn. He visits our practice regularly, which is when we discuss the care for our pregnant clients if necessary. Then, together with the client, a plan is made for the pregnancy, childbirth or postpartum obstetric care.
Coach
Angelique Verstegen and her colleagues at NovaVita are there for you when you are in need of extra guidance during the pregnancy, delivery or motherhood. The obstetric coaches have been trained as labour and postpartum coach to give psychological comfort before and after labour. It is their expertise to help with anxiety about childbirth, processing a very intense and/or traumatic childbirth (among others with EMDR) and coping with loss. You are welcome to visit with any other questions. Partners of pregnant women are also welcome.
Lactation consultant
Geralde Boogaard-Colli has been working as a lactation consultant since 1997, of which 14 years at the Centre for Breastfeeding Boogaard & Van der Linden in Houten. Next to this, she is working as a lactation consultant at WKZ (Wilhelmina Children´s Hospital) in Utrecht. At De Geboortezaak Houten she is involved in the CenteringPregnancy groups where she discusses how to feed your baby. You are more than welcome to attend the Lactation Masterclass in which you learn everything about breastfeeding.

Extra listening to baby's heart
If you want to listen extra to your baby's heartbeat (between 13-22 weeks), you can visit us extra on Thursday's between 18.15 and 18.45t.

Online information evenings
For our English speaking clients, we organize online information evenings about the pregnancy on january 6, february 17, march 31 and may 12, about giving birth on december 16, march 3 and may 19 and about the postnatal period on january 13, march 17 and may 26. You are most welcome!!
